Our Story
Why Revenue Works Exists
Revenue Works started from a simple, uncomfortable truth:
Most companies are not failing because they lack effort, talent or ambition.
They are failing because they are running on a broken commercial engine.
For years, Claire watched the same pattern repeat across SaaS, B2B tech, industrial firms, professional services and local businesses:
- Sales carrying the entire growth burden
- Marketing busy but not effective
- Pipeline full on paper yet strangely thin in reality
- Boards drowning in reports but starved of clarity
- Agencies selling campaigns that never fixed the real issues
Revenue Works was created to stop that cycle.
Instead of “marketing services”, we build the commercial systems that make growth predictable.
The Moment Things Clicked
The idea for Revenue Works didn’t arrive in a brainstorming workshop; it came from frustration.
Claire was working in senior commercial and marketing roles, repeatedly brought in to “fix marketing” or “sort out lead generation”.
Each time, the brief looked similar:
More campaigns
More content
More channels
And each time, the real problem turned out to be structural:
Nobody agreed on who the company was truly for
The story being told to buyers made sense internally but not externally
Sales, Marketing and Product were pulling in different directions
Reporting hid risk instead of exposing it
The penny dropped: until someone owned and redesigned the commercial engine, everything else would keep failing in slow motion.
Revenue Works exists to do that work properly.
From Campaigns to Commercial Engines
Revenue Works was built on one decision:
We will not sell tasks. We will design and implement engines.
That meant walking away from the usual agency model and working instead like a senior operator:
- starting with diagnosis, not deliverables
- designing systems that Sales want to use, not tolerate
- using data and revenue logic to decide what happens next
- anchoring everything in board-level questions:
“Where is revenue leaking?”
“What is truly driving growth?”
“What risk are we carrying?”
The result is a set of engines –

Google Leads Engine
Predictable Google enquiries for local trades
£297

Growth Engine
Joined-up demand, conversion and lifecycle growth for professional services firms.
£897

Regional Growth Engine
Coordinated marketing for multi-location and regional B2B for industrial companies.
£1,497

Revenue Engine
Full commercial reset for predictable revenue for B2B and SaaS.
£2,997

Senior marketing leadership without the full-time hire.
Fractional CMO
£4,497
That apply the same commercial discipline whether you are a SaaS firm, an industrial manufacturer, a professional services practice or a local trades business.
Built Around Real Companies, Not Personas
Revenue Works grew from real organisations, not theoretical avatars.
Our early work experienced:
- SaaS and B2B tech companies stuck between early traction and meaningful scale
- industrial and regional B2B firms relying on relationships and geography instead of a true pipeline
- professional services firms where compliance slowed everything except client expectations
- local trades businesses living month-to-month because they did not control their own lead flow
The sectors differ, but the underlying issue is the same:
Growth is fragile when the engine is improvised.
Why We Work the Way We Do
The way Revenue Works operates is deliberate.
Senior-first
You deal with someone who has owned the number, not watched from the side-lines. That changes the quality of decisions and the pace of progress.
System, then scale
We fix structure before tactics. When the system is right, execution becomes far easier and far more profitable.
Commercial honesty
If something will not work, you hear it early.
If your goals and current model do not line up, we say so.
Clear reporting
We care about what the board cares about: revenue, margins, risk and time. Dashboards exist to expose reality, not decorate it.
Where We Are Going
Revenue Works is not trying to become a volume agency
The goal is to be the partner leadership teams call when they are done with guesswork.
That means:
- continuing to deepen our Engines so they stay ahead of how markets and buyers behave
- building AI and data into the heart of reporting, not bolted on as a novelty
- working with organisations prepared to be honest about where they are and what needs to change
The direction is simple: stronger engines, clearer thinking, better outcomes.
What This Means for You
If you are reading this because growth feels harder than it should, or because you know your company has outgrown its original “marketing”, you are in the territory Revenue Works was built for.
You do not need another agency.
You need a commercial engine that works.
